The Azerbaijani national freestyle wrestling team, which performed successfully at the U-20 European Championship held in Italy, has returned home.
Idman.biz reports that our wrestlers were greeted by their relatives and media representatives at Heydar Aliyev International Airport.
Our national team won 1 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze medals at the European Championship, taking second place in the team standings. Under the leadership of head coach Arif Abdullayev, coaches Rovshan Hajiyev and Ashraf Aliyev, Vasif Bagirov (57 kg) won gold, Muradkhan Omarov (79 kg) and Yusif Dursunov (125 kg) won silver, and Omar Gulmammadov (74 kg) and Anar Jafarli (92 kg) won bronze medals.
