The referee from Lankaran, who ensured fairness at the U-23 European Championship, the U-20 World Championship, and the Islamic Solidarity Games this year, has justified the trust of the United World Wrestling (UWW). Referees with this rank have the right to participate in all competitions, including the Olympic Games.
Two more referees have joined the ranks of international category justice representatives. Samir Hajiyev (Astara) and Akbar Mammadli (Goychay), who were on duty at the World Veterans Championships held in Tatabánya, Hungary, from October 7-12 and passed the exam, have been awarded the UWW's Level III international referee status.
Thus, the number of international referees in Azerbaijan has reached 25.
