The World Championship continues in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia.
"Report" reports that Azerbaijani Greco-Roman wrestlers won 1 gold and 1 bronze medal.
Ulvi Ganizade (72 kg) faced Ibrahim Ghanem in the final, whom he defeated in the decisive match last year. In a tense fight, our compatriot defeated his opponent with a score of 4:2, retained his title and became the world champion for the 2nd time.
Murad Ahmadiev (97 kg) faced Hungarian Aleks Soke in the bronze medal match. The 4-point trick used by our wrestler in the first part played a decisive role in the match. Although a score of 5:5 was recorded in the end, Ahmadiev was the happy side due to the quality of the points. Thus, Murad made his debut at the world championship with a bronze medal.
With this, the number of medals of our Greco-Roman wrestlers at the World Cup has reached 3.
It should be reminded that Eldeniz Azizli (55 kg) became the third in the world yesterday.
