Two traditional wrestling competitions were held in Russia.
Idman.Biz reports that the Soslan Andiyev Memorial Tournament, dedicated to the 2-time Olympic champion, was held in Vladikavkaz.
Our wrestler Magomedkhan Magomedov tested himself in the 125 kg weight category for the first time. His debut in the new weight category was successful. Last month, the national team member at the Islamic Solidarity Games won this competition by defeating all his opponents and climbed to the highest step of the podium.
Khasavyurt hosted the Shamil Umakhanov tournament. Murad Yevloyev (74 kg), Ali Tsokayev (86 kg) and Osman Nurmagomedov (97 kg) won silver medals, while Gadzhimurad Omarov (74 kg) and Mukhammad Gantemirov (125 kg) won bronze medals.
