Aganazar Novruzov (74 kg) defeated Turkish world third place Fazlı Eryılmaz 6:3 in his debut, and then Rogers Mukyeda from Uganda with a full advantage (10:0) and advanced to the semi-finals. In the match with Bahraini Magomedrasul Asluyev, our compatriot, who was behind 0:5, won a courageous victory in the last minute - 7:5. In the final, Aganazar lost to Iranian Yunis Imamichogayi (0:5) and won a silver medal.
Arseniy Djioyev (86 kg) faced two-time world champion Kamran Qasempur at the start. Our representative, who defeated the titled Iranian wrestler with a score of 5:3, did not give the Algerian Benfercallah Fateh any chance - 11:0. Djioyev defeated Magomet Yevloyev from Tajikistan in the semi-finals and Khidir Saypudinov from Bahrain 5:1 in the final, and played our anthem in Riyadh.
Magomedkhan Magomedov (97 kg) lost to Kazakh world champion Rizabek Aitmukhan (2:12) in the 1/4 final.
