Azerbaijani wrestlers won 4 medals on the first day of the Turkic-Speaking Countries Universiade held in Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyzstan.

Competitions were held in 6 weight categories today in the sports hall of the "Ruh Ordo" cultural center. Our Greco-Roman wrestlers Vadat Gasimli (60 kg) won gold, Ali Guliyev (97 kg) won silver, and Javad Mammadov (77 kg) won bronze. In freestyle wrestling, Ramik Heybatov (74 kg) took third place.
The wrestling competitions at the Universiade will end tomorrow.
