Azerbaijani Wrestlers Win 2 Gold Medals in Belarus

On May 22-23, 2025, an open freestyle wrestling tournament among men dedicated to the memory of Soviet Union Hero D.M. Karbyshev was held in Grodno, Belarus. Sport24.az reports that wrestlers from Russia, Belarus, and Azerbaijan participated in the competition.

 

 

Two wrestlers from Gabala, representing Azerbaijan, won gold medals.

 

Our representatives, Ismayil Aliyarov and Ahmad Ahmadli, respectively, climbed to the highest step of the podium in the 65 and 70 kg weight categories.
