Six Azerbaijani Greco-Roman wrestlers are nominated for the symbolic "Dream Team" ahead of the World Championship, which will be held in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia, from September 13-21.
Idman.biz reports that ahead of the main competition of the season, United World Wrestling (UWW) is conducting a vote on its social media pages, presenting four candidates in each weight category among "classic" wrestlers.
Azerbaijani wrestlers among the nominees:
4-time world champion Eldaniz Azizli (55 kg);
World champion Nihat Mammadli (60 kg);
European champion Murad Mammadov (63 kg);
Olympic bronze medalist Hasrat Jafarov (67 kg);
World champion Ulvi Ganizade (72 kg);
European champion Gurban Gurbanov (82 kg).
