Azerbaijani wrestlers finished the day with 3 bronze medals

The first medalists have been determined at the European Wrestling Championship held in Slovakia. Sport24.az reports that Islam Bazarqanov (57 kg) easily defeated Bulgarian Ivaylo Tisov with a full advantage (12:2) and won a bronze medal at the European Championship for the 2nd time in a row.

Ali Rahinzada (65 kg) took the initiative from the beginning of the meeting with Ukrainian Andrey Svirid and maintained his advantage until the end – 4:0. Thus, Rahinzada won the bronze medal of the European Championship for the 4th time.

Kanan Heybatov (70 kg) faced Hungarian world and European champion Ismail Musukaev for the third place. Kanan, who defeated his experienced and titled opponent with a score of 5:2, climbed to the honorary podium at the continental championship among adults for the first time.
