Azerbaijani wrestlers have completed their performance at the U-17 European Championship held in Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia.
"Report" reports with reference to the press service of the Wrestling Federation that the women's wrestling competition took place on the fourth day of the competition.
Nazrin Ahmadli (46 kg) narrowly eliminated Greek Maria Gkika in the first stage – 10:9. However, our compatriot failed to cope with Russian Irina Tsydeyeva in the 1/4 finals – 0:10.
Fatima Bayramova (53 kg) lost to Polish Julia Gibalska 2:6 in the qualifying round.
Esra Mammadli (61 kg) defeated Romanian Oana Dumitru 8:2, but was disappointed after a tense fight with Belarusian Varvara Aliseyenka in the 1/8 finals – 3:4.
Fidan Babayeva (65 kg) defeated Italian Giulia Carrini 4:0 in the first consolation match, but lost to Belarusian Anastasia Komanava 0:3.
Milana Bagirzade (69 kg) lost to Georgian Anna Godelashvili with a minimal difference (2:3) in the 1/8 finals.
