"Report" reports that Aykhan Javadov (60 kg) of our Greco-Roman wrestlers confidently defeated Turkish Omar Altas 8:3, after defeating Egyptian Ahmed Shabana and Polish Grasjan Jeduta 9:0.
In the semi-finals, Aykhan sent Georgian Vakhtang Lolua off the mat with a "touch". Cavadov will wrestle Armenian Yurik Mkhitaryan in the final tomorrow.
Elmin Aliyev (82 kg) eliminated Ukrainian Kirilo Shnirov with a score of 11:4, but failed to cope with Russian European and world champion Mikhail Shkarin in the 1/8 finals - 0:8. Since the opponent advanced to the final, Elmin will have a consolation match tomorrow.
Among female wrestlers, Zahra Karimzade (72 kg) lost to Chinese Yuqi Liu in the 1/8 finals - 0:10. Since the opponent reached the final, Zahra will have a consolation match tomorrow.
