Azerbaijan's Greco-Roman wrestlers have taken third place at the U-23 World Championships held in Novi Sad, Serbia.
"Report" reports that the team, which won 2 gold and 1 bronze medals, finished third in the team standings with 93 points.
It has achieved the best result in its history in terms of the quality of national medals.
Azerbaijan was only behind Iran (143) and Ukraine (96).
It should be noted that Elmir Aliyev (55 kg) and Ziya Babashov (63 kg) became world champions in the team that participated in the World Championships under the leadership of head coach Alexander Tarakanov, senior coach Rovshan Bayramov, coaches Hasan Aliyev and Kamran Mammadov. Ruslan Nurullayev (72 kg) took third place.
