Azerbaijani junior Greco-Roman and female wrestlers have won 7 medals at an international tournament held in Rakvere, Estonia.
The Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation told "Report" about this.
About 500 athletes from 19 countries participated in the competition, which was organized in 3 age groups. 7 of our Greco-Roman wrestlers, who performed at the tournament under the leadership of national team coaches Turac Huseynli and Taleh Mammadov, rose to the podium.
In the U-13 age group, Maharramli Bakir (35 kg) won a silver medal. In the U-15 age group, Elmir Charkazov (62 kg) and Isfahan Hasanov (85 kg) won silver medals, while Huseyn Mustafazade (52 kg) won a bronze medal.
In the U-17 age group, Nihat Tagiyev (65 kg) became the champion, while Abdurrahman Huseynli (51 kg) and Mehdi Asgarli (60 kg) took third place.
