Azerbaijani Greco-Roman wrestlers have won 1 gold and 1 bronze medal at the U-23 World Championship held in Novi Sad, Serbia.
"Report" informs that Elmir Aliyev (55 kg) from our representatives won the gold medal by defeating Russian Alibek Amirov (UWW) 3:2 in the final.
Ruslan Nurullayev (72 kg) won the bronze medal by defeating Armenian Gaspar Terteryan 3:1 in the match for third place.
It should be noted that earlier, Ziya Babashov (63 kg) became the world champion among our wrestlers.
