Azerbaijani female wrestlers have started training camp in Turkey

The Azerbaijani national women's wrestling team has started a training camp abroad.

This was reported to "Report" by the press service of the Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation.

The team started the preparation process together with the local national team in Niğde, Turkey, on June 8.

The national teams of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan are also expected to join the training camp, which will last until June 25.

Asmar Cankurtaran (50 kg), Elnura Mammadova (53 kg), Nargiz Samadova, Gultakin Shirinova (both 55 kg), Jala Aliyeva (57 kg), Gunay Gurbanova (59 kg), Ruzanna Mammadova and Birgul Soltanova (both 62 kg) are participating in the training camp, which is preparatory in nature for the upcoming international competitions, under the leadership of acting head coach Togrul Asgarov and senior coach Agahuseyn Mustafayev.

It should be noted that after the preparation process is completed, Gunay Gurbanova and Ruzanna Mammadova will go to Caorle, Italy, to participate in the U-20 European Championship. The other wrestlers will participate in the Yaşar Doğu, Vehbi Emre and Hamit Kaplan memorial tournament to be held in Kocaeli, Turkey.
