Today, an Azerbaijani female wrestler will compete for a bronze medal at the European Championship held in Tirana, the capital of Albania.
Idman.Biz reports that Gunay Gurbanova (59 kg) will face Marta Getmanova (UWW) in the match.
It is worth recalling that Azerbaijan has won five medals so far at the European Championship. Greco-Roman wrestlers Hasrat Jafarov (67 kg) and Gurban Gurbanov (82 kg) won gold, Rashad Mammadov (55 kg), Nihat Mammadli (60 kg) and Islam Abbasov (87 kg) won bronze medals. Also, the Greco-Roman wrestling team became the European champion in the team standings.
It should be noted that the European Championship will end on April 26.
