The first ranking tournament of 2026 has started in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia.
Idman.Biz reports that the Azerbaijani women's wrestling team is also participating in the "Zagreb Open" competition.
Under the leadership of acting head coach Togrul Asgarov and senior coach Agahuseyn Mustafayev, Asmar Cankurtaran, Elnura Mammadova (both 50 kg), Nargiz Samadova (53 kg), Jala Aliyeva (57 kg), Gunay Gurbanova (59 kg), Birgul Soltanova (68 kg) and Zahra Karimzade (72 kg) are representing our country.
First category referee Ali Babayev is also among the representatives of justice at the tournament.
