The U-23 European Freestyle Wrestling Championship held in Zrenjanin, Serbia has come to an end.
"Report" informs that the Azerbaijani freestyle wrestling team took second place in the championship.
It should be noted that freestyle wrestlers finished the competition with 8 medals. Ali Tsokayev (92 kg) became the European champion, Jeyhun Allahverdiyev (61 kg), Vasif Baghirov (57 kg), Sabuhi Amiraslanov (79 kg), and Yusif Dursunov (125 kg) won silver medals, while Musa Aghayev (65 kg), Ramik Heybatov (70 kg) and Zafar Aliyev (97 kg) won bronze medals.
The Russian national team took first place, and Armenia took third.
