Asif Shiraliyev, the representative of the head of the Shamakhi City Executive Power and an international referee, may be appointed as the chairman of the Referees Committee of the Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation in the near future.
According to the information obtained by Idman.Biz, 44-year-old Shiraliyev has held the status of an international referee since 2008 and has represented our country in many prestigious international tournaments, including the Tokyo and Paris Summer Olympic Games.
In addition, Asif Shiraliyev has been working as the representative of the head of the executive power in Shamakhi city since January 2021.
He neither confirmed nor denied this information in his statement to Idman.Biz: "No official decision has been made by the federation on this matter yet."
Currently, the Referees Committee of the federation is headed by 69-year-old Garib Aliyev.
