The athlete, who climbed to the highest step of the podium in the 86 kg weight category, highly appreciated his success:
"I am very happy to have made our country happy. I am grateful to everyone for their congratulations. I am proud that the Azerbaijani flag is raised the highest. Our coaches have a great contribution to this victory. They give the right direction to the athletes. The match against the Iranian opponent, who was a two-time world champion, was difficult. He is considered a star athlete of his country. But it doesn't matter, because I won the victory. I dedicate my victory to my family."
It should be noted that Arseni Djioyev defeated Bahrain's representative Khidir Saypudinov 5:1 in the decisive match.
