Azerbaijani freestyle wrestler Abubakr Abakarov (92 kg) is pleased to distinguish himself at the international tournament held in Minsk, the capital of Belarus.
The 27-year-old athlete told "Report" about this.
He shared his thoughts on winning a gold medal at the Alexander Medved Memorial Tournament, a 3-time Olympic champion:
"This is the second time I have won this competition. It is very nice to stand out in such a prestigious tournament. I was fully prepared for the competition. The meetings also went very well."
A.Abakarov said that he will not be able to participate in the European Championship because he lost in the final of the Azerbaijan Championship:
"But I have a chance to participate in the World Championship. For this, I must be at the best level of preparation in order to take maximum advantage of this chance."
