A press conference was held with our team's head coach Gurban Gurbanov and midfielder Julio Romao before the match "Olympiacos" (Greece) - "Qarabag", which will be held within the framework of the VIII round of the League stage of the UEFA Europa League. The experienced specialist shared his thoughts on the match to be held tomorrow:
"This is our last game in the League stage. We will fight against a very serious opponent. I have no doubt that Olympiacos is also aiming to win the Europa League this season. This team won the Conference League last season. We will play against a club with big goals. We want to play well and achieve a successful result in our last game."
The head coach also talked about the reasons for coaching our team since 2008: "It is not easy to work in the same team for a long time. Football is a collective game and there should always be changes in the course of the work. Over the years, you invite new players to the team and try to continue the success. I am lucky to be working with good leadership. We have very good leadership and managers. They have always been by my side in forming an ambitious team. They have worked hard to help us achieve successful results. There have been cases in football where a coach has worked for the same team for a long time. We have tried to maintain this ambition."
Julio Romao said that they want to return from the away match with a successful result: "Tomorrow certain details will determine the fate of the game. Olympiacos is in a better position in terms of the tournament table. Our opponent is fighting for a ticket to the next stage. Although we are at the bottom of the table, we will try to achieve a successful result tomorrow in order to finish the League stage in higher places. Every game is important to us. We go to every match to achieve a positive result. Tomorrow we will do our best to finish the tournament with a victory."
