"Qarabag" played its first game after the winter break. Our team hosted "Shamakhi" in the XIX round match of the Misli Premier League. The first match of 2025 took place at the Tofig Bahramov Republican Stadium.

Our players, who started the match quickly, managed to score an early goal. Already in the 4th minute, Nariman Akhundzade completed the fast counter-attack with a logical ending. 10 minutes later, the visitors equalized the score during their first dangerous attack. The continuous attacks of our team, which regained the initiative, paid off in the 29th minute. After a cross from the left flank, Aleksey Kashchuk's header was unstoppable. However, "Shamakhi" equalized again towards the end of the first half.
The second half started with mutual attacks. Our team, which gradually took control of the game, finally scored the winning goal in the 72nd minute. Thus, "Qarabag" won the home game with a score of 3:2. Our team, which is at the top of the tournament table, increased its score to 50 after this victory.
It should be noted that "Qarabag" will play its next match against "Turan Tovuz" at home on January 26.
