Azerbaijani Olympic champion Zelim Kotsoyev (100 kg) will compete for a gold medal at the European Judo Championships held in Podgorica, the capital of Montenegro.
According to "Report", he will face Georgian Ilia Sulamanidze in the decisive match.
Another Azerbaijani judoka, Ushangi Kokauri (+100 kg), will compete for a bronze medal. U.Kokauri will face German representative Erik Abramov.
Earlier, Ahmad Yusifov (60 kg), Rashid Mammadaliyev (73 kg), Zelim Tckayev (81 kg) and Murad Fatiyev (90 kg) won bronze medals.
It should be noted that Azerbaijan is represented by a total of 15 judokas (9 men, 6 women) in 12 weight categories at the European Championship. The team will also compete in the mixed team competition.
