The "Xilasedici" men's volleyball team will represent Azerbaijan in the "Challenge Cup" next season.
Club manager Onat Kurt told "Report" about this.
He stated that they will prepare well for the competition with the support of the management:
"We will sign contracts with 5 new players for the next season. Transfers will continue. Next season, of course, our goal is to win the Azerbaijan Cup and finish the national championship in first place. It is difficult to win the championship in European cups in the first year. But we want to build the system correctly and do good work on this path."
The club official spoke about "Xilasedici" winning a bronze medal in the Major League:
"This, of course, is considered a success for a newly established club. Our belief and desire was to take first place. But it is difficult for a club that was founded 7 months ago. The transfer period around the world starts in December-January. But we started working in October. I think we did our best. We won the Azerbaijan Cup in December. Other teams have strengthened by attracting 3-4 new foreign players. The clubs we are fighting against are those with a history and experienced teams. I think we did a good job with head coach Jalil Jalilov and his assistants."
