German biathlete and 2024/2025 World Cup winner Franziska Preuss shared details about her health.
Idman.Biz reports that she announced that she was infected with coronavirus and the flu.
For this reason, the athlete missed the sprint-pursuit combination at the 2025/2026 World Cup stage held in Östersund, Sweden. Her status is still unknown for the upcoming competition to be held in Hochfilzen, Austria.
"Unfortunately, I contracted the flu and coronavirus last week. I've recovered now, but let's wait and drink tea for now. I hope my energy will return soon," Preuss wrote on social media.
It should be noted that the German took only 29th place in the individual race held in Östersund.
