The winners of the Azerbaijan Track Cycling Championship have been determined.
"Report" reports with reference to the press service of the Azerbaijan Cycling Federation that about 50 athletes from clubs and societies participated in the competition organized at the Republican Velodrome.
Athletes competing in 3 age categories tested their strength in group racing by scoring points. Athletes in the U-15 age category covered a distance of 14 km. According to the results of the competition, Timur Rajabov took 1st place, Islam Aliyev 2nd place, and Ismail Khankishiyev 3rd place.
Among the athletes competing for 18 km in the U-17 age category, Nihad Khudoyev, Chingiz Isayev and Javid Bakhshiyev took the first 3 places, respectively.
The 24 km race for athletes competing in the Youth, U-23 and Elite categories ended with the victory of Tural Israfilov. Rahim Naghiyev won the silver medal, and Jamal Ibrahimzadeh won the bronze medal.
The winners were awarded medals and diplomas by the Azerbaijan Cycling Federation.
