The "Azerbaijan International 2026" international badminton tournament held in Baku has come to an end.
"Report" reports, citing the Azerbaijan Badminton Federation, that the winners in five categories were determined on the final day of the "International Challenge" category competition, which was attended by 347 athletes from 33 countries.
In the men's singles competition of the tournament held at the Sports Palace of the Azerbaijan Technical University, Polish Dominik Kwinta and Indian Devika Sihag won gold medals, surpassing all their rivals.
In the men's doubles competition, the tandem of Alex Green and Zack Russ from England climbed to the highest step of the podium.
In the women's doubles, the Japanese couple Miku Sugiyama and Natsumi Takasaki became the winners of the tournament.
In the mixed doubles category, Indian athletes Satvik Reddy Kanapuram and Radhika Sharma were awarded the main prize.
At the end of the competition, the winners and finalists of "Azerbaijan International 2026" were awarded medals and cash prizes. The Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov and the President of the Azerbaijan Badminton Federation Taleh Ziyadov participated in the award ceremony.
