"Turan Tovuz" head coach Gurban Berdyev is going to Kazan.
According to QOL.az, the 72-year-old specialist will watch his former team Rubin's home game against Fakel (Voronezh) from the stadium.
The match will be held on April 27 and will start at 20:00 Baku time.
He will participate in the opening of the B114 sector at the Ak Bars Arena, which fans have named after him. After the event, Berdyev will symbolically kick the ball before the starting whistle. This will be his first public visit to Kazan since 2019.
Before the game, Tatar pop stars Firdus Tyamayev and Marat Yarullin will perform for the audience.
Gurban Berdyev coached Rubin in 2002–2013 and 2017–2019. During Berdyev's tenure, Rubin became the Russian champion twice and won the Russian Cup.
