"It is not true that my departure from "Real" was related to Ronaldo. There was no misunderstanding between us. He is an outstanding player and a true phenomenon. I decided to leave because of certain internal difficulties in the club that had nothing to do with Ronaldo," said Benitez. Benitez was the head coach of "Real" from June 2015 to January 2016, and he was replaced by Zinedine Zidane.
