The number of wedding palaces in Azerbaijan should be reduced and sports facilities should be built.
According to "Report", Vugar Iskandarov, a member of the Milli Majlis, said this at a meeting of the Youth and Sports Committee with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Azerbaijan National Olympic Committee and sports federations.
He noted that interest in sports has increased in recent years:
"We should reduce the number of wedding palaces and build sports facilities. There has been an influx into sports in recent years. This also has a sufficient effect. We need early detection of talents in the regions. Sometimes we need legionnaire athletes. This is still going on. We need to look for athletes in remote villages. There are youth and sports departments in the regions. We need to go not to the districts, but to the most remote villages. The villages are a little behind. We work with the districts most of the time".
