Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola has confirmed the transfer of 20-year-old defender Abdukodir Khusanov, who plays for the Uzbekistan national team and French club Lens.
Lent.az reports, citing foreign media, that the English club had previously offered the French club 50 million euros, including bonuses. Khusanov himself is looking forward to joining Manchester City, who offered him a long-term contract.
Khusanov has been playing for Lens since 2023. The player's contract with the club runs until 2027. This season, Khusanov has made 16 appearances for Lens in all tournaments and provided one assist.
