The main reason for the disqualification is that he violated the rule of providing information about his whereabouts. The swimmer violated this rule three times in 12 months.
Hafnaoui's disqualification will last until January 10, 2026. It was also revealed that all results shown by the Tunisian since April 11, 2024 will be canceled.
It should be noted that Ahmed Hafnaoui also won two gold medals at the 2023 World Championships (800m and 1500m freestyle swimming).
