Ahmed Hafnaoui of Tunisia, who won a gold medal in the 400m freestyle swimming at the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics, will be banned from competitions for 21 months.

Hafnaoui's disqualification will last until January 10, 2026. It was also revealed that all results shown by the Tunisian since April 11, 2024 will be canceled.
