A 500-meter open water swimming competition was held jointly organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Baku City Circuit Operations Company, Azerbaijan Swimming Federation, Azerbaijan Triathlon Federation, and the "Triterra" club.
Idman.biz reports that the competition in the "Masters" category (over 25 years old) in Pirallahi settlement was called "Stronger than the Wave".
The competition was held between more than 30 male and female athletes aged 25 to 68. Among men, Zaur Arkanya won gold, Roman Vladyka won silver, and Pyotr Kuvshinov won bronze. Among women, Yelena Timchenko, Valeria Mikhailova, and Tubu Abdulzade rose to the top three.
