Within the framework of the "Healthy Neighborhood" project, implemented based on the relevant Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, sports zones were opened in the cities of Naftalan, Samukh, and Mingachevir on July 3.
Idman.Biz reports that the Ministry of Youth and Sports has released information about this.
It was reported that the Minister of Youth and Sports, Farid Gayibov, heads of the executive authorities of the relevant districts, representatives of the district community, residents, and young athletes took part in the opening ceremonies.
Each "Healthy Neighborhood" has mini-football and basketball courts, table tennis, chess, and exercise equipment installed. Minister Farid Gayibov spoke with children training on sports equipment and residents of the neighborhood.
Note that so far, 21 "Healthy Neighborhood" projects have been implemented in Baku and various districts.
