The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has postponed its European Regional Symposium, which was scheduled to be held in Baku on March 18-19.
The Azerbaijan National Anti-Doping Agency informed "Report" about this.
The event was postponed due to the situation in the Middle East.
It was decided that the meeting of the WADA Executive Committee (ExCo), which was scheduled to be held in Baku before the symposium, will be held online.
In a statement, WADA highly appreciated the hospitality and support shown by the hosts - the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijan National Anti-Doping Agency (AMADA), and noted that this decision was not taken easily. This decision was deemed necessary after a careful analysis of possible disruptions in air transport and logistical factors.
