The European Ski Mountaineering Championship will start in Azerbaijan today.
Idman.Biz reports that five athletes will represent Azerbaijan in the competition to be held at the "Shahdag" Tourism Center.
Nazrin Garibova, Nabiyulla Galabagiyev, Anid Sultanov, Abel Ismikhanov and Nurid Shakaraliyev will compete for medals.
The continental championship will last until March 8.
In addition to Azerbaijan, a total of 123 athletes from AIN (Athletes with Neutral Status), Turkey, Italy, Switzerland, Slovenia, Germany, Russia, Spain, Austria, Norway, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, Greece, Andorra and Sweden will participate in the European Championship.
