This was stated by Gunel Badalova, Secretary General of the Winter Sports Federation, in her statement to "Report", while talking about Azerbaijani figure skater Nargiz Suleymanova's qualification for the World Championships.
She reminded that the athlete recently joined the team:
"She has already shown her skills in two competitions. The main goal of participating in the "Sofia Trophy" held in Bulgaria was to qualify for the World Championships. There she finished fifth among 23 athletes. She took fifth place in the short program and second in the free program."
G. Badalova said that the World Cup will be held in Boston, USA, between March 25-30:
"Participation in the "Bavarian Open" tournament is planned in order to prepare for that competition. Nargiz is currently continuing her training in Canada. We hope that she will represent our country properly in Boston as well."
It should be noted that Nargiz Suleymanova took fifth place with 172.80 points at the Sofia Trophy tournament.
