Alexander Ovechkin, a hockey player for the Washington Capitals of the United States, has set a record. Sport24.az reports that he scored the 895th goal of his career in the match against the New York Islanders (1:4).

 

This is a record figure among world hockey players.

 

He surpassed Wayne Gretzky (894), the previous record holder.
