Russian athlete Mikhail Morozenko died after falling from a glacier during the "Trail Running Energy" competition in the mountainous region of Dombay.
"Report" reports, citing TASS, that this was confirmed by the former athlete's wife.
The 38-year-old sprinter slipped on the glacier while running a 100 km race and died. According to witnesses, the accident occurred after the athlete had covered approximately 10 km.
The organizers announced that the race was stopped due to worsening weather conditions.
