In a game between Turkish amateur teams "Beyşehir Demirspor" and "Konya Maliyespor," the referee showed a red card to a stray dog.
Lent.az reports with reference to foreign media that during the match between the teams, a stray dog ran onto the field, which caused the game to be stopped. Seeing the dog, referee Murat Balıkçı approached him and showed a red card. Verbal attempts to remove the animal from the field were unsuccessful.
The referee then showed the card again, then picked up the dog and took it off the field. Spectators applauded the referee who took the dog away.
The "Beyşehir Demirspor" - "Konya Maliyespor" game ended with a score of 1:1.
