The London Marathon has broken the record for the number of finishers.
According to "Report", citing "The Guardian," nearly 60,000 people completed the race, which took place on April 27 in the British capital.
This surpassed the previous world record set at the marathon held in New York City in November 2024. At that time, 55,646 people crossed the finish line, which was a world record.
It should be noted that Kenyan Sebastian Save (2 hours 2 minutes 27 seconds) won the men's race, and Ethiopian Tigist Assefa (2 hours 15 minutes 50 seconds) won the women's race.
