Qualifying competitions for the Azerbaijan Chess Championship among boys and girls aged 8, 10, 12, 14, and 16 will be held at the Shamkir Olympic Sports Complex.
The Azerbaijan Chess Federation (ACF) press service informed

The tournaments will be jointly organized by the ACF and the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
Those who take high places in the 9-round Swiss system competition will gain the right to participate in the Azerbaijan Championship in the respective age groups. In addition to Baku, 230 teenagers from 20 cities and regions are expected to participate in the qualifying competitions of the national championship.
Note that the tournament, which will start on January 25, will end on February 2.
