A special event for the residents of Fuzuli was held as part of the "President's Cup-2025" international regatta dedicated to the 102nd anniversary of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev. Sport24.az reports that the event included performances by professional rowers and quizzes for children and teenagers.
Participants were also given the opportunity to try themselves out on rowing boats and simulators.
It should be noted that more than 200 athletes from Europe, Asia and Africa, from more than 20 countries - Azerbaijan, Estonia, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Poland, Serbia, South Africa, Spain, Tajikistan, Turkey, Ukraine and Uzbekistan will participate in the "President's Cup-2025" international regatta.
The official parade of the competition and the presentation of the teams will be held on April 29 in Mingachevir, on Heydar Aliyev Avenue. On April 30, the official opening ceremony of the "President's Cup-2025" international regatta and races at a distance of 200 meters will be held in Sugovushan, another picturesque corner of Karabakh. The regatta will continue on May 1-2 at the Mingachevir "Kur" Olympic Training and Sports Center. Here, teams will compete in various distances in kayaking, canoeing and academic rowing.
