President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev congratulated our people on the occasion of Ramadan Bayram.
Idman.Biz reports with reference to AZERTAC that the head of state said in his congratulatory letter: "Ramadan, the sultan of eleven months, which embodies moral perfection and noble intentions, cleanses people's souls and minds, is coming to an end. In this blessed month when our holy book, the Holy Quran, was revealed, Muslims have the opportunity to fulfill their conscientious duties and obligations to God with dignity, and experience the joy of good deeds such as helping each other, compassion and mercy".
President Ilham Aliyev noted that Azerbaijan has been one of the rare places where different religions and beliefs have peacefully coexisted in peace for centuries. The Islamic religion, which constantly invites humanity to peace, humanism and brotherhood, has historically played an exceptional role in preserving ethnic and cultural diversity in our society, establishing an environment of tolerance based on mutual respect and trust, and national and spiritual solidarity.
"The month of Ramadan strengthens the unity and equality of our people every year and turns into a triumph of goodness and good deeds. I join your prayers for the peace, prosperity and progress of our state during these blessed days, and respectfully commemorate the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan," said the head of state, conveying his congratulations to our people and compatriots living in different parts of the world.
