Portuguese motorcyclist Jorge Brandao died in an accident during the last - fifth - stage of the Morocco Rally.

According to the organizers, Brandao, who was participating in the Morocco Rally for the second time, crashed on the sand dunes at the 214th kilometer during the fifth stage held around Erfoud. He was immediately taken to Erfoud Hospital by medical helicopter, but doctors could not save his life.
It is noted that Brandao, a member of the "Old Friends Rally Team", was 47 years old.
