A tragic accident occurred in Sardinia, Italy.
Idman.Biz reports that 51-year-old experienced parachutist Simone Bacchiega, who was engaged in parachuting, died as a result of an accident while testing his newly purchased equipment.
The incident was recorded near the "Is Paulis" aerodrome. Bacchiega, who has been involved in this sport for many years and has made more than 600 successful jumps, jumped from a height of approximately four thousand meters. Although the initial stage of the jump went without problems, the situation got out of control during the landing.

According to witnesses, the experienced athlete tried to make a sudden maneuver to correct the landing trajectory. However, at this time he lost control of the parachute and quickly lost altitude, crashing hard to the ground. Although rescuers and a medical team were immediately called to the scene, it was not possible to save the seriously injured athlete's life.

Italian law enforcement agencies have launched a large-scale investigation into the incident. The new parachute equipment used by Bacchiega has been taken for examination. Experts are trying to determine whether the accident was caused by a technical malfunction or human error. Relatives emphasized that Simone was a disciplined athlete who always strictly followed safety rules.
