40-year-old Russian forward Alexander Ovechkin, captain of the NHL club Washington Capitals, has once again demonstrated his extraordinary skill.
İdman.Biz reports that in one of the episodes of the home game against Tampa Bay Lightning, after the match was stopped, the referee needed a puck for the face-off.
Ovechkin did it in his own unique way - easily lifting the puck off the ice and throwing it from behind his head towards the referee. This elegant move by the hockey player, without looking at the opponent, was greeted with applause by the audience, and the referee calmly caught the puck in the air.
It should be noted that the main time of the match ended with a score of 2:2, and Washington won 3:2 in overtime. Although Ovechkin did not score in this game, his skill in the episode was again in the spotlight.
