Washington Capitals forward Alexander Ovechkin has become the eighth player in NHL history to play 1500 games with the same team.
IdmanBiz reports that the 40-year-old Russian forward achieved this milestone in the game against Ottawa on October 26.
Other players who have previously played 1500 or more games with the same team in NHL history are Gordie Howe (1687, Detroit), Patrick Marleau (1607, San Jose), Nicklas Lidstrom (1564, Detroit), Alex Delvecchio (1550, Detroit), Shane Doan (1540, Arizona), Ray Bourque (1518, Boston), and Steve Yzerman (Detroit).
