The European Judo Championship continues in Podgorica, the capital of Montenegro.
GOL.az reports that three more Azerbaijani judokas have joined the competition today.
Olympic champion Zelim Kotsoyev (100 kg) and Ushangi Kokauri (+100 kg) competed among men.
Kotsoyev lost to Georgian Ilia Sulamanidze in the decisive match. Thus, he finished the tournament with a silver medal.
Our other judoka, Kokauri, lost to German representative Erik Abramov in the bronze medal fight.
Nigar Suleymanova (+78 kg) will test her strength in the women's competition.
It should be noted that Ahmad Yusifov (60 kg), Rashid Mammadaliyev (73 kg), Zelim Tckaev (81 kg) and Murad Fatiyev (90 kg) previously won bronze medals.
In addition, the Azerbaijani team is competing in the European Championship with both individual athletes and teams. Our country is represented by 15 judokas in 12 weight categories, including 9 men and 6 women. The team will also compete in the mixed team competition.
